Hi All,
We're preparing a new area of our Website meant to be used by CCS users for sharing or selling CCS projects, components and applications.
The new area is still not visible to the public, however, please feel free to start using it while keeping in mind it's in Beta stage.
Here is the URL: http://www.yessoftware.com/marketplace/
Thank you

Peter,
Great idea.
There is an error message when you open the "Submit New" link:
Unable to upload the file specified in File URL - upload folder doesn't exist.
Are there doing to be views / download counters? And ebay type feedback ratings to show most popular, etc.
Regards
Edd

Hi Edd,
Quote :There is an error message when you open the "Submit New" link
Sorry about this. This problem should be fixed shortly.
Quote :Are there doing to be views / download counters? And ebay type feedback ratings to show most popular, etc.
Some features are already implemented. Others may depend on system's popularity, so let's see if we can get at least 5-10 submissions first

Brilliant Idea Peter.
Have have a few snippets that I'd be willing to put up for people to use.
Datetime picket
Calculator
Multicolumn dropdown (a.k.a. Ms Access)
Not sure how much to ask or just pu them up for foks to use. It be easier than trolling throught the forums looking for this kind of stuff
Take Care
Dave

Hi All
I have added a component that I use. It is a wrapper on the Dynarch Javascript date and time picker.
It is written so you do not have to recode any of your code charge studio screens, all you have to do is update your stylesheet and replace your Datepicker.js file with the one we have supplied.
Hope this keeps the market place growing.
Regards
Edd

Review Vision.to CMS.BE 3
Once upon a time there was CodeCharge 2.0 (CC), in the beginning when I begun to program dynamic websites. it was a big step forward in creating dynamic web pages. Then YesSoftware came up with the Studio version, and now with Codecharge Studio 3.x, the program has grown mature and made a big step into the competition. I'm not going to write here a review of CCS, but about a product that has been made with it: Vision.to CMS.BE v3 (PHP version only)!
CMS BE v3 is developed by Femi Hasani, a highly skilled programmer if you ask me. When looking into the online demo of CMS.BE I was quite impressed of all features it has. It is a solid Content Management System that contains all major features like User Management, Action Responders, Contact Forms, display data blocks, display custom headers and sub-headers, and off course, unlimited page creation …and much more.
These are just the most important features of CMS BE. The system can be expanded by use of modules. Modules are plugged-in into the CMS. It recognizes automatically new plug-ins and once installed you can manage them via an administration page where you can set access rights (8 group levels), assign menu positions, names and so on.
Man, it was love on first sight! After gaining "hands on the CCS project files" I started a new project based on CMS BE. I thought "I can use this as a solid base for all my projects". For those interested just in the system itself (thus no CCS project files) you get fairly much features right out of the box. It can be customised to customer needs, but then you have to contact the author, Femi Hasani, to make those modifications.
For the programmers out there that are interested to build upon it there are Developer licenses available. You get all necessary files, SQL for db and CCS3 project files.
You get a solid bas to start on all features mentioned earlier in this review, a lot of custom functions (and believe me, they are very useful). Although, before you get started with programming for it I suggest you look first at how it is build and works.
It uses a lot of predefined settings and features, functions you can use everywhere! BUT, this implies a basic knowledge (understanding) of using functions, use custom code in CCS, and off course PHP itself. Once you are settled, you can start making new features, modules, change stuff there already is, and in short "The sky is the limit".
When I started (and I have only basic knowledge of php) I was directly on track, the basis has all I need so I begun creating new modules. I must say, when buying a license, the support comes in handy because there is no documentation. I had to contact some times the author to ask some things, how this..., how that... He helped me to start, so no problem there.
At this point I have created a website based on it and developed 2 modules for CMS.BE 3.x:
http://trinityhome.org
module1: Banners module
module2: News / Weblog system
Next in line will be Webshop module.
And I almost forgot to mention that it validates XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS
Info about CMS.BE can be found at http://www.vision.to
Or: http://www.yessoftware.com/marketplace/details.php?exchange_id=4
That's it for now. Soon I launch a demo site where you can access and test all those features!
Regards,
Headhunter

FYI, Marketplace links were now added to our main Website. We decided not to cram forums with links.

Peterr,
Not trying to outsmart The Team, but it's nice to have the link there, but it would be nicer to have it either in the Forum Menu Left of "Forum" or below the "Synchronized.........." message, which is shown only once.

Sure, but there are many other important links that could be placed on the forums. Obivously the Marketplace is important to feha, while CCS Examples are important to someoneone else, others need the documentation, etc. That's why we have Windows & IE bookmarks.
