Will MyODBC also connect to MySql 4 and or 5?

:-):-):-):-):-) "It should" won't do I'm afraid. I'm about to install MySQL on a new server and I need to know for sure. Incidentally wizy which of the two questions did you answer?

CC support whom I have paid won't even answer my questions!!

G,
MyODBC will, in it's most recent incarnation 3.51 work with MySQL 4 and 5.
CC support for MySQL5 I don't know but:
Connection during develop using MyODBC, should be ok.
Database basics are the same, there are issues with security logging on.
And CC libraries will not support the newer SQL methods, that I can assume
to be true.
Maybe the time invested or to be invested could be better spent on CCS. (my
personal opinion).

Good luck!
Walter

Walter, thanks for you help. I do use CCS but never got around to converting this one app from CC yet. Maybe this is the ideal opportunity ;-)

Thanks again,
Gary
