I'm using the Query Builder to try and only select results based on one of the columns values. I have a staff directory that is a single table. I want to search for first and/or last name but limit the results within 1 of the 5 units we have in the organization.

I went to Table Parameter and in Parameter WHERE dialogue created the following:

[Unit 1] = "Extension"

This should limit the name search results to only those people who are in the unit called Extension. But instead I get returned all the results from the database, regardless of the unit they are in.

I also tried typing the expression out in the Table Parameter Expression dialogue with no luck. And finally, I tried setting the default value for the hidden field [Unit 1] in the Properties Data box to 'Extension', but still get all the results from the entire database.

Can anyone shed light on what I may be doing wrong? Is my syntax faulty?

Thanks! Andy.
