FYI, as temporary feature (in testing) registered forum users can now edit and delete own posts and threads in this PHP forum. This doesn't apply to NNTP/newsgroup posters.

Just something little - and I dont know if its a Forum thing or to do with
my newsreader - but all the spam posts - seem to still be on the NNTP but
not on the forums... it would be nice if they got cleared off the NNTP as
well!

P, thanks.
D, you're right SPAM only on the Newsreader (Outlook/T-Bird), not in the
actual forum.

Hi Damian, Walter,
I see that spam is removed from newsgroups, but I'm not sure if all of it, as some spam posts are removed manually and others automatically.
Maybe when you get a chance can you please try re-downloading all messages into your NNTP client. In OE: right-click on the newsgroup name -> Properties -> Local File -> Reset.
Then next time you redownload the messages hopefully spam will not be included.

Worked for me.
SPAM no longer in sight, but beware also the attention flags on topics will
be removed.

OK, but that spam is correctly synchronized with the forums, so there is no problem with NNTP.
Of course I'll clean up when I get a chance - thanks.

Peterr,

When editing ones own post, there is the availability of uploading attachments.
Besides that these will be uploaded with a timestamp to keep them unique (<vbg>).
How large can they be and what types are allowed?
I just tried to upload a DemoCharge created GIF of 452kb and it failed based on size.

Walter

This looks like a bug and the attachments should not be enabled on our servers. I'll ask someone to resolve this.
Thanks.
