Just a link to a new book on CodeCharge Studio "Getting Started with CodeCharge Studio 3.0":
http://www.osoft.com/store/productdetails.php?pid=214

Please note that this book was written by 3rd party and was not rated by YesSoftware. Anyone who may purchase it, please feel free to rate this book here on the forums.

I wish I had the attention span necessary to sit down and write a book. :(

I hope this isn't one of those 'regurgitate the helpfile' kinds of books
that I often see. Has anyone read other 'osoft' books? I'm not familiar
with them. Wrox books rocked, but they kind of folded a while back, which
is a real shame. I think someone else bought the name from them.

Looks like nothing to me, it only covers the basic settings and the Builders, for which, on my opinion, you don't need a book.... (looking at the table content)

This is an e-book for beginners because that is what I see the most of in my training classes. OSoft's electronic format will allow me to add things to the book as I have time, and fix anything that I might have missed right away. Thank you for mentioning the book :-)

This is not a book

It is a booklet

To call them chapters is an overstatement, section would be more accurate.

To Quote

"From tiny acorns great tree's do grow"

Ok - Its a starting book - but maybe with the help of folks on the forum it could be made more. We as a collective whole contain a lot of knowledge on CCS, and we impart it almost daily.

When folks start with CCS it can be a daunting task - we have seen many many newbee's on the forum asking the same questions again and again.

Hey - I was a newbee once and if it was not for the wonderful help from Peterr and others here there be things I would still be stumped on.

Also to quote

"If I have seen further it is by standing on ye shoulders of Giants"

Just something for folks to muse upon..
I'd write a book myself if I was not too busy. 31 years as a programmer gives me some interesting insights into the past history and the dead ends of our industry. And some persectives on the future of computing etc.
Plus being self taught in my craft has helped also.

Take Care.. From a Grey Muzzle

Dave

Book or Not it doesn't really matter that much.
the importance is the content and the way it presents CodeCharge Studio for newbies or advanced ...

This is a great step and I do really expect one day to see and read "The Bible for CodeCharge Studio".

This IDE deservs it.
