I am a little confused, maybe someone can set me straight. I am trying to put pictures into a MySQL database. First am I saving the link to the picture file or am I actually saving the picture .gif or .jpg file in the database? If it is the latter of the two, can someone explain how this is done?

Thank you!

You can do it both these ways.
First way is described in File Upload example , second in
"Uploading images in a database" article , both available at
gotocode.com/artlist.asp
