Somebody has done a job for a real portal, not so little like gotocode, more you can see like adenin Enterprise Portal.
Have a look on adenin.com

I'm going to pay for that kind of stuff!

best regards

Peter,

On the first page of the extranet (www.adenin.com/extranet) you can download your evaluation copy of adenin. Register in the extranet and you can download more.

Marco

What's the deal lately with people offering to pay for codecharge generated code? Granted, the latest version generates very strong code, but if you plan on paying for something, why don't you just buy yourself a copy of CC and play with it. There's always Rentacoder.com if you are looking to pay for something.

Crashmonkey has it right! CC is a decent product, but I can't believe people are paying for code generated by CC. Ultraapps is a good example....if you're looking for a very generic portal then go for it. But if you're going to do ANY modifications whatsover....which would require a reasonable knowledge of ASP (which probably would mean that you wouldn't be satisfied with ultraapps as is....), just spend the same amount of time with CC itself. That's what I've done and in 4 days I have a portal that is MUCH nicer and more functional for my needs than ultraapps AND I've already had an offer of $$$$ to implement it in a small company.... and I'm not even a techie...

I've developed custom apps for large businesses and government using codecharge. But most of my recent work involves things like variable update statements, higher math functions, and cost tracking. I do most of this by hand in cc or ultradev. In any case, it's a free world out there, and there is a sucker born every minute. If you are going to put together a bad generic portal solution using codecharge that has none of the elements mentioned above, go right ahead. I think people would even buy it. Let em. Codecharge is a tool that can be used for good or evil. But I fail to see the ethical delema here.

The ultraapps portal is virually identical to the gotocode stuff that codecharge lets you download. It even uses the same generic graphics. I don't think there is a rule against that, but there should be. It's really hard to take these people seriously.

After register I only get promotional things. Where can I download the CC files?

I hope the product is better than the promotion?

The common misconception about codecharge is that is does ALL the work for you. Don't expect it to do that. What you can expect is for Codecharge to speed up the stuff you would normally program over and over again. I am a big advocate of doing less work, but if you don't know your coding, there is only so far you can go with it. On the other hand, CC is an excelent tool for learning ASP, CFM, and other scripting languages. To date, it has influenced my writing style even when I'm not using it.

The CCS files come with codecharge,
but they can also be downloaded from the gotocode.com homepage.

I am very new to CodeChange and am thinking about buying the standard version of issuemanager and make the changes I want to make it more like the enhansed version (no .ccs).

Is it hard to change or even create application like issuemanager after a week or so studing codechange?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I have not been able to find the code charge ccs file associated with any of these demos. I like the portal demo on the gotocode website, and have not found any demo portal bundled with Code Charge Stuido. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find the .ccs file for the gotocode portal demo?

What do you think these tools are for. Sitting in your attic drooling over your latest creation. I'd rather sell it. The only thing I think is a bit confusing is that I don't think adenin will give you the project files with the portal. So why would cc/ccs developers be interested in this project. Giving out the project files would mean 100 hundred compettitors by the next day. So I think it's a bit deceiving to sugest it as an alternative to the portal that comes with cc/ccs. So basically it's just a comercial. Put it under the sites developed by... section and not in here. Leaves a bad taste.

Doubt michael will be buying that any time soon. Maybe michael is adenin.com?
This user of this post has a better way with words to describe postings like these:
http://www.gotocode.com/disc_viewt.asp?mid=16412&s_topic=adenin&

Just look for adenin and you'll see what he means.

Anyone know how to generate the (ASP and/or PHP) nice "sales cockpit" graphs in the sales portal at http://demo.adenin.de/toaster_en.asp ?

Also how to generate (ASP and/or PHP)the graph in the "customer complaints" section?

I would really like to generate graphs to ccs web pages.

Thanks
