i have three tables in my database ( employee, salary, payroll), the basic salary of an employee is stored in the salary table but the payroll table stores all the calculation of the payroll. i want to calculate the employees salary from the salary table but i want the system to be able to calculate from the current date of increase i.e the payroll should calculate (if the previous salary was $2000 by 2004 and the new salary is $4000 by 2006 the system should calculate from the new salary.
