Opening a 2.3 project in 3.0 causes a conversion which is a good thing.
But keep backups.

Hi there Gesto
I run Version 2.3 and 3 on my machines all of the time with no issues..
Just make sure that the 2 version are in seperate diectories.
Usually after the installs you will find that CCS 3 will open a project file by default is you click on the project file in a directory
What I do when moving from one version to another is to copy the project diectory and change the directory name by appending a '3' at the end to signify the new version.
When you open CCS it usually asks you for a project to use. This is where i generally select the project to work on. When you open a CCS 2.3 in CCS 3 it will want to conver the code for you. If you have used the directory copy mentioned before there is no real reason to keep a backup.
Also when setting up the publising settings its a good idea to use the append '3' to the website as well for testing. It's easy to change later and you still have your version 2 website for testing and comparison.
No real problems with the database as the 2 version do not change anything theere.
You will still need to purchase a new copy of CCS3 of course but you can still use the 20 day evaluation to check to see if it will work for you.
Hope this helps..
Dave
