Am new to this forum, but have been using codesharge since version 2.0. For the first time, i had to do a major project for a client but the problem was the nagging "Generated by codecharge" thread. I did a search and found the same questions being debated on this thread.

http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=36295

There are quite some compelling arguments as to why it should or should not be there. Of course it is advertising for yessoftware, i think its fair enough that way. On the other hand, some folk mentioned that other code generators like frontpage and dreamweaver or even Visual Studio developer don;t have that nagging signature.

I think codesharge is a very handy piece of software and for anyone who really is into web development, a $400 investment is not too much to ask, considering we charge so much for a single project, that you can do in a few hours using codecharge. So go on and buy the app and get rid of the signature.

I beg to differ with whoever said that removing the code would be equal to killing the goose that lays the golden egg or something like that. I think thats pushing things a little overboard. A company cannot only rely on its customers to do their advertising. It is so easy to remove that code, but an even better option is to buy the app.

I have removed it from my pages especially when i used codecharge alongside other programs and when not all of the code was generated by codecharge or if only a small component of my application has codecharge code. If you know your "If" statements well enough, you can disable that encrypted six lines of code, but i don't advocate for it. Go buy the app.

Sometimes things are simpler then we think.
Summary: we are not discussing the "evaluation message" but the META
Generated by Codecharge

Step 1:
in an empty project, create a new page called "myTemplate"
without doing any work switch to HTML mode
Delete the META Generated by CodeCharge..........
Save the page.

Step 2:
Go to Project Settings
In the Main Dialog find the "New Page Template" press the [...] and select
"MyTemplate.ccp"

Step 3:
Any newly created page will be based on the "MyTemplate".
Intended for creating an application wide Look&Feel, so it could easily
contain Logo's basic <div> or <table> setup.
But also it will respect the fact that the META is removed.

But: Personally it has never disturbed me before.
If Proud then Shout!
Walter

yup, not working. Rather edit your final code after you've finished everything. Tedious but if thats what you want, well worth it. Also have to be careful when doing this.

Hi,

Could you be more specific about what is not working? Walter's steps should work.

What does not work for you?
I started response by explaining what it is we are removing.
I think you want to remove something else then described.

Walter
