First, CC is a great product.
But will there be an update to 2.0.4 soon? And what about the "studio" release?
===============================================================================
As a developer I would prefer more frequent updates, once a month
would be sufficient, rather then release of a new version with too many
new features and fixes.
Also would you please keep us informed of the latest development of CC?
How about it CC-Team!

Don't know about 2.04,
but the people at codecharge or more than happy to let you know that the codecharge studio beta release is private and cannot be accessed or used by anyone who didn't spring for "codecharge professional." Which I personally find insulting, as I have been personally responsible for the sale of over a dozen copies of codecharge to my clients and employers ever since version 1.0 was released. If it's that big a deal, I don't really know if I want to deal with this company at all anymore, and I would even have doubts as to the over all quality of any future product they produce if they treat their client base like they have been of late.

CrashMonkey,
Come on. I think you're being way too critical on the way YesSoftware is handling
the Studio beta release. You only paid $149 for CC (which is a good deal less
than the competition), the product works great and YesSoftware gives the best
tech support I've seen and it's for free (others charge), and you probably made
quite a bit of $$$ churning out websites in a fraction of the time of other packages,
and now you want YesSoftware to give you a free copy of their Studio version?
Please, someone give me a towel so I can cry a river of crocodile tears for you.
;-(...
If you can't make money off of CC so you can pay a measley $100 for the Studio
upgrade, then you should find a different line of work.

I see both points, but why not just pay for an upgrade?

Hey. So is the studio version really available? I bought the professional version, which I was at the time happy to pay extra for.

To "crashmonkey": I bought the PRO version, but NO ONE has informed me of any
Studio releases, Beta or not.

Hello,
To clarify the subject:
CodeCharge Studio is *NOT* yet available.
The Public Beta program will be launched and announced in April, and EVERYONE will be able to participate, not just those who purchased the Professional version.
Right now we only work with a very small group of users who were active on our newsgroups and whom we asked for help with evaluating an initial, preliminary version of CodeCharge Studio, which currently generates only the ASP/VBScript language.
Regarding current Beta participants, we did not offer it to non-(Professional)subsribers due to insufficient Trial protection. The necessary time-expiration will be implemented before the public Beta.
Generally, our strategy is nothing unusual and most software companies work with a small, selected group of people who meet certain requirements, until they prepare a version that is stable enough for public Beta/evaluation.
For example, you can look at BEA's Cajun, which was kept everyone guessing until just the recent release of the public Beta version: http://www.infoworld.com/articles/hn/xml/01/12/05/011205hnbea.xml
There are many strategic reasons why companies may not want to disclose all product details until a certain date.
Please give us little more time to revolutionalize (again) the way you develop web applications.
We want to finalize the details of CodeCharge Studio and assure it makes the best impression on you. We also have to assure that our product doesn't damage your system files, or doesn't require constant support of thousands of Beta users.
However, if you feel that you can significantly contribute to the development of CodeCharge Studio and would like to help, please tell us about it by contacting myself atccsbeta@codecharge.com. Please also mention how much time you are willing to contribute.
Thanks and regards,
Adam Stock

Patience is a virtue. It is my understanding that the studio version will be able to go head to head with UltraDev4 and VS.NET.

I heard that UD was too complicated an API and they were sticking to frontpage.
Man, a UD and CC integration would make my day. I'm using both anyway.
