I'm interested in How To make Project Wizards ?

Let say we get many ready examples as Forum, Portal, Bookstore etc ...

I would like to make my own Project as a Wizard or when i send to someone install it as wizard.

When someone opens examples or ready applications they could start from there ...

I had some success but this would be great as CCS feature ...

If you mean:
to be able to create projects that we can distribute and others can use just like the Solutions in the NewProject Solutions tab

Than I would like to know that as well.
Also a general tutorial or guideline on merging 2 or more projects into one would be really appreciated.

Walter

Hi,

That was the purpose of the SDK that's been available for CCS 2.x in CCS Customer Area: http://www.yessoftware.com/content.php?content_id=customers_home. The SDK wasn't updated, probably because there was no interest in it, though you can try using the included Projet Wizard tutorial with CCS 3.0.

Copy .ccp and .html files from one project to another. Then you may want to review and update links that point between pages.

Peterr,
#1, will give it a go, some time.
#2, thanks, assuming that Project Setting especially Connections have to be the same or at least a new project contains the same tables the other project does?
Experimenting will supply the answers of course.

Walter

Re: #2
Right, the connection names probably would need to be the same, or you'd need to manually re-create connections from one project in the merged project. Though I usually use Windows utilities to run search/replace on .ccp files, for example to replace one connection name with another.
