In the sorted, you can select many order parameters if you need.

I see the option for the sort column and reverse option but there is no control for "sort this column and then by this".
i.e. When the table displays first it is sorted by status then company name. When a user sorts using another filed, say by asignee, I want it to sort asignee then company.
Make sense?

When using the Grid Builder, Step 2 of 5 (CCS 3.0.4.12)
you will see the Order By Drop Down List.
Default : None, next option: Custom
When you choose Custom, you will be presented your base table's field list, and you can build your own custom sort order mixing ascending/descending and fields.
If that is not answering your question, then:
In the grid (after generation), click the "sorter" to open up it's properties.
The properties of a sorter will show SortOrder and has [...] behind it to enable you to do what I described, to a sorter.
If you cannot see the [...] click in the Properties SortOrder and it will appear.
So Yes you can do multiple sorts.

I've gotta lay off the crack. I swear I didn't have that option when I first looked. That's what I expected it to do.
Thanks!!

Just kidding.

I learned I'm not crazy after all. I have two different applications for this and one it worked as you said, the other was where I was having the trouble. If the table's data source is any thing other than "Table" it won't work. That table is currently set to SQL. I'll have to switch it.

Hey
If it is set to SQL, then write your own Order by clause.
That is what SQL mode is for.
Switch back to Table if that is no problem and you'll have all available to you.
