I've got the Export to Excel working fine. Although it seems to be working a little slower than it orginally did.

I am trying to export 1500 - 3000 records. I can get it to Export to Excel fine (it's a little slow, but that's the query). However when I open it in Excel it locks up.

I've removed most of the HTML formating. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this?

How do you know it's exporting OK?

I had this and it was the number of records. It would appear to export OK, but the file wouldn't open.

Try fewer record numbers and test the save function works.

I've tried fewer records and it opens fine in excel. (It still opens slow).
When the file generates it generates, X boxes like missing graphics. Then excel refreshes it and it will just shows the data in my cells.

It's on a large document this is where it locks up. I think the problem is Excel, I'm just not sure how to get around it.
If I open the file with a staight text editor (notepad), it opens fine, however it is in html format (<table><tr>, etc..) Is this the way it's supposed to export?

I'm afraid I've never been able to export more than 2000 records this way. So we sort of work round it. Maybe it is Excel, but I couldn't say.

:(
