How about offering an option for the Builders to translate some of the basic raw error messages into something more friendly.
i.e. Translate:
SQLSRV32.DLL:ERROR [23000] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_BCN_PCN_AREAS'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'BCN_PCN_AREAS'. ERROR [01000] [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated.
