has anyone got a brief on the advantages & disadvantages between the 2 tools?

I haven't used Express/2.0 tools yet, but I have scanned some of the docs.

Certainly, before these latest Visual Studio versions, CCS was a quantum leap over them in taking care of UI and DB code. Visual Studio is great, and the .NET framework is great, but it doesn't write any code for you.

I don't know if the latest tools from MS have higher level controls that take care of more.
Anyone else?

I think that you can't compare these tools for the same reason you can't compare a set of car parts and a wrench to a machine that builds cars.
