I am evaluating CCS version 3.0.4.12 and get this error when trying to publish anything, including example projects when using the appbuilder. I'm using PHP with a local MS Access db on the CCS machine and MySQL on the server. the connection tests work ok and the FTP works but nothing uploads as no pages wil build. I cannot evaluate this product as so far it will not do anything. How can I find the source of this error?

Error:Compiled file error
Source: Page "Footer", Template name: General
Description: Microsoft JScript runtime error
Automation server can't create object
line = 176, col = 4 (line is offset from the start of the script block).
Error returned from property or method call.

Thanks,
TR

Do you have any database action or a record in your Footer?

You might want to contact product support with technical issues.

Thanks for your reply. Any page will generate the same error. I haven't created/edited any pages. Just selected appbuilder and filled out db connection screens. The system generates the pages but errs out when trying to publish. This happens even when trying to publish the example projects.

It doesn't appear that I can get tech support as I am evaluating the product before buying. If I can't get it off the ground then there's no point in continuing. I guess that's the point of the evaluating version. If you can't make it work, then move on.

Thanks,

TR

It sounds like your dev server does not like the files. It may (or may not)
be improperly configured. I would try a different server if you have access
to one.

I believe that this problem is related to some corrupted Windows component(s) on your computer. I recommend contacting product support with any technical issues.

I installed the program on my home computer and it works fine. However, I need to use it at work on my desktop there. Its XP that's up to date on all Windows patches. All other software runs ok. What components should I look at?

Thanks,
TR

Tony,

It wasnt the application that was at fault - as you showed by getting it to
work on other servers - it was your platform.
I found the fix after about 3minutes on Google...

That is happend to me. Just you fix Microsoft Script, you will be OK. You can download Microsoft Script from here:

Hi,

I encountered this problem and then installed the microsoft jscript update. However, I'm still getting the same error after rebooting and restarting Code Charge.
