Has anyone ever succed to connect to GODADDY SQL server ?
I'm strugling with this for 3 days and can't get through. They claim I can connect using either DSN or DSNless connection, but neither one is working from CCS. I Created a duplicate database on one of my LAN servers and I have no problem connecting, bowever can't get through Godaddy server. I contacted Tech.Support and they have snet me connection string (which was actually exactly the same as I used before, telling me that it works from their and), but it doesn't work on mine.
Any clue ?

Arthur

just to add to the question above:

If I connect using connection string (which supplies Username and Password), why do I see on the server side Username and Pasword fields ? it is confusing), do I need to fill in the blanks here ?

"Driver={SQL Server};Server=whsql-v01.prod.mesa2.secureserver.net;Database=DB_14759;Uid=xyzadmin;Pwd=xyzpassword;"

cany anybody tel me why ?

Are you placing this connection string into the design or server connection settings?
You can also try filling in those blanks that you described - a little test shouldn't hurt.

ok, let me ask you this:
does CCS allow to work with remote datasets, and being able to display LiveDataPage from remote server ? (I know it has to be allowed on the server side to...)

also: I don't really understand the concept of having only one TEST button for two types of connections: local-DESIG and remote-SERVER, I would rather test both separately, ahloutg when I get an error message I'm confused if it is related to local or remote

Yes, CCS doesn't recognize local or remote servers, it just uses the database or ODBC driver to connect however it is configured. All standard database and network restrictions will apply and CCS won't know if/how the driver connects.

The test button is not needed on the server side because server connection configuration if for PHP/ASP/.NET applications, not for CCS. Such test would be invalid in most cases since your application scripts may be placed on a different computer and not be able to connect to your database, even if CCS can.
