Does anyone have some tips on how to speed up the IDE?
Specifically, any time I create a grid or report and the SQL query gets beyond about 10 columns, the responsiveness of basically -any- control that has a droplist of choices from the table slows to a crawl.
For example, I literally wait 5-10 seconds to change the data source on any label control. And on a grid or report of any complexity that adds up FAST.
My machine has 2GB RAM and a 3.2GHZ Pentium CPU so it ain't -that- slow.
Are there ways to make it a bit more snappy?

I don't think you'll find any FAST_IDE=YES switch  but, seriously ...
I experience a slow IDE at times, too. I don't recall the speeds and feeds on my laptop, but I know it's not a dog. My biggest problem is inside the editor. Sometimes, but not always, the editor does not keep up with me - especially for deleting several characters one at a time.

I recommend that you contact product support as they could investigate your specific situation, or simply try to improve the product based on your feedback.
And if there are solutions to such problems they probably should be incorporated into CCS itself (especially upcoming CCS 3.1). Thus I would also appreciate contacting product support with any solutions.
