I would like to have respond from the CC team whether they do have plan to make the CC generate asp.net based on vb.net. Yes, you did have the asp.net generated code based on C#, but it woud be nice to have the vb.net too.

As would I.
C# is only one step removed from Java. Not fun to program in.
VB.NET is much more flexible.
I'd like to see it too.

I don't agree

I have been working on Java, VB.NET and C# too, and I don't agree VB.NET is in any way more flexiable than C# !! Plus remember C# is Microsoft premier language for the .NET Platform ....
But I would not debate any more on this ... :)

Crash,
You've been following up all my posts with something stupid for over a month now. We've talked about this before.
Quit it!

I toss my vote in as well.
I'd like to see vb.net support.

I guess the people who prefer VB.NET over C# are in the majority. It seems strange that only C# is supported!
The languages can (mostly) be trasformed into one another mechanically after all so PLEASE give us VB.NET.
(I notice the sign up gives no option of VB.NET. I wonder how many people look at that and turn away immediately!)

I have a bad impression over the CC team. This thread was long ago posted by me, and yet I did not see any respond from CC team. Why? My impression is that technical support from CC team is bad. All the reply are mostly from member or those who use the CC. I do not mean that reply from the user is substandard, but just a few words from the CC team is showing that the team is committed to the development of this application. Speak up CC team.

mcwong,
Its very selfish of you to blame the CC Team on this... these guys have being doing a great job... and personally, I would like them to concentrate on their CC Studio version rather than working on VB.NET ... I am sure if its "easy" conversion of C# to VB.NET .. they might do it once CC Studio has been released..
Also there is a process in which this community proceeds... there is a "Wish List" feature on this same site, get your wishes listed there.. let the community vote on it... and if its the community sentiment to have VB.NET then be sure someone *will* be listning ...

All,
In my opinion, C# was the correct choice for several reasons. First, it is a standardized programming language with support on both Windows (.NET) and Linux (mono). Second, Microsoft has stated they will be adding more features to C#. This will make it more powerful and flexible than VB.NET. Finally, when it is all said and done, the IT industry will be willing to pay more money for C# developers than VB.NET developers.

"Its very selfish of you to blame the CC Team on this..." I am disagreeable to you saying that I am selfish. Just have a look at this forum, most of the reply are from member or those who use the CC. Don't you think that support is important in term of marketing strategy? If spending 30 minutes scanning through the forum daily and reply the forum can lead to the deficiency, then I am doubt of the CC team capability. I do not the CC team reply with lenghty word, and explaining how they do it, use what kind of software, etc. What I want is, like the follows:
"Thanks for you interest with our product. We do/do not have plan to add the features of vb.net in our next version of CC"
Yes, that's all and this reply will be able for me to judge whether I should or should not invest in CC.
Just be attentive to those request from the user/member because what they request do have their reason. No one will simply ask silly question with any purpose.

I've been wondering the same thing. It sure would be nice to have an answer. I don't think that many of the almost 3,000,000 VB programmers are interested in C#. It makes little sense to me. Microsoft has dedicated to supporting both languages. Besides the CLR, CLI and the .NET framework are supposed to limit the margin of benefit one language has over another.

Considering that VB is still the most popular microsoft language, I can not understand the logic of not supporting VB.
