Peter:
Are there any tutorials on adding a button to run a stored procedure in C#.NET. I have been using the "Custom Insert" area to add it and renaming the button but I need more buttons and facing a problem where I need to learn this.
What would be nice is a step by step tutorial like the tips sheets in the examples. I have seen multiple people ask for assistance on this.
Here is what I would like to do. Add a button to the bottom of a grid. Add the custom code to the client on click event.
I do not know how to code, but I found this so I am thinking that it is some variation of this to get it running:
("a_spAppendEmployeetoManualContribution;1",Settings.Connection1DataAccessObject);
("@CompanyId",SesUserId,ParameterType.Int,ParameterDirection.Input,0,0,10);
Thanks
Steve

Someone answered a similar question about running SPs yesterday: http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=82636
Should work with buttons, although I haven't tested this.

Peter:
I understand, but that doesn't help me as I am a beginner. I try to search the net for an answer but cannot find one. I would think that this really should be a basic tutorial.
If anyone can get me started in C# with some sample code it would be appreciated. I am sure I can figure it out once I have a starting point.
