How would I close the current browser window after the user presses the Update/Insert, Cancel or Delete buttons.
I've been trying to use the JavaScript window.close() but no luck - can someone help me out?

Michael,
you should close the window after table is updated, i.e. after formname_action function executes right before redirect code. Create custom action event and try to output JavaScript in mentioned place
