A few months ago I asked if CCS was going to provide a plugin for MicroSoft Expression as Frontpage is no longer shipping and Dreamweaver has no capacity to have plugins.
Are there any plans for this?

I don't see where you ever got a response to this question, does anyone know anything on the status of an expression plugin if there is one?

We've just moved to MS Expression Web and would be greatly interested in such a plug-in.

Hi,
There are no plans for MS Expression plugin at this time. This can be quite complex to develop, while we found that our previous FrontPage plugin was not very popular, if even used at all.
I recall in the past we've received several inquiries from customers who all were under impression that such plugin is necessary to work with CodeCharge Studio but then they found that CodeCharge Studio also creates and allows editing HTML, while they can improve their pages with FrontPage when needed. I've seen all of them switching back to CCS and not using the plug-in. Also when for some time we couldn't support one of the versions of FrontPage, no one came complaining that this stopped working.
Therefore please remember that you should be able to polish-up your HTML design using any HTML editor, including opening a page externally by the "Open Externally" option. Many of our customers who use Dreamweaver do the same.
Of course an integration with MS Expression may be considered in the future, there are just no such plans yet.
If anyone did actively use the previous CCS FrontPage plugin we'd like to hear about your experience.

I'm very happy with this direction.
use the time it would have taken to create this plugin and give us more CCS features!!!

I did use the plug in at first but after some time I found it much easier to do coding in CodeCharge and when finish there just change the html to match the site.
I would agree use the time to add more features
thanks!!

I agree with the assessment. My earlier find is that one can do most of it in vs2005, if it all needed

...my short venture into trying to use ccs from the fp plug-in was that it suffered greatly from lack of support and documentation ...it was much easier to just use fp as the html editor than try and figure out how the ccs gurus intended the plug-in to work.
...besides the fact that Expression is a much better web editor than FP ever was, the simple fact is that no plug-in will be successful if it is not possible to publish from the application itself rather than having to publish the ccs pages separately ...short of that level of integration, any plug-in isn't truly useful imnsho.
