when i goto a page that is restricted the hyperlink is repeated:
http://www.obakins.com/stanns/www.obakins.com/stanns/lo...&type=notLogged
so i get a 404 error page.
why does the web address repeat it self??

It think on your security setting in code charge, I think you want to set to absolute. Then your link is /stanns/login.asp or /login.asp, not the full URL.
What I do in a sub folder such as this create a page up like normal. Then secure it. Then my links go to the normal page. Then when the user goes there, then if they are already logged in, they will not get prompted. If they need to login, they will be redirected to the login page, then sent back to they page the link was set to.
