 the buttons in the grid or record can not "click"

Hi all:

is there anyone that added a button in a grid or a record,and link it with custom OnClick codes ( Server side )

i tried it ,but the custom OnClick function seems never be invoked..

please help....

Be sure to use the Button from the Form Tools and not het HTML Tools!?

yes.i'm sure...
the page is submitted/refreshed after i clicked the button,but the function is not invoked..

it's work for you ?

to clarify : the button is in the grid/record ,i mean each row has this button....

Have you places just an alert() statement in the onclick to see if it is
being executted?
If you are calling a function and there is a problem with it, it may appear
as if it is not being invoked.

thanks Benjamin,but i link it to a server side funtion,not a js function.
i do add something in the funtion for debugging,actually,i added "exit;" in the function,but seems the page never go to it...

You state you are using buttons in an editable grid.
That will only process the lines that ar either changed or added.
Your button will probably do nothing at the moment it is pressed.
I will have to experiment but it is friday night so....... later.

My apologies. I did not notice it was serverside.
One techniqe which I use to see if somethng is taking place is to use the
errors collection and post to it. That way I can see execution order, etc.
In your case, since you want to do something in the back end, have yo
considered usin some Ajax methodology?

yes,ajax is an alternative,let me give it a try.
btw,does CCS have some ajax structure by its own ?
