i know that: Persits uploading component "Persits" is not found. Please select another or install the component.: means that persits aspUpload isn't installed on the server.
however, what if server folks are saying it is. and actually installed it while on the phone w/me.....and i still see that message when i try to upload an image using a CMS we built to writable folder i made....any thoughts?

don't know. probably. doesn't matter now. i had to move to another server. the client the site was for wanted it working last week. so i didn't have time to sit and debate/argue with the server tech.

The easiest solution for me was switching to "ASP/VBScript Upload".
It works on every server & there is no need to install any components.
