I currently own 2 versions of CCS Personal edition (Perpetual)
For years I have been using the PHP version, but a need came up that required me to start using VB.NET.
So I order a licence key for the ASP.NET version.
Silly me, I thought I could have both my PHP and my ASP.NET licences running on the same PC by just doing a second instalation of CCS to a differnt directory.
Guess what, you can't.
Currently it looks like I can either have one or the other loaded and then need to uninstall/reinstall/reactivate everytime I want to change programming languages.
suely there is a more elegent way.
I have lodged a request with CC support but there is an urgency to this issue and was just hoping someone else has come across the same issue.
Thanks

Use Altiris Software Virtualization Solution (SVS). It is also free for personal use. Look www.altiris.com for details. Download 2.1 Beta (not 2.0 R1) from juice.altiris.com. SVS lets you define virtual layers to install software. One of its main uses are installing conflicting software.
Read details carefully, because there are some points to be cautious. Especially be careful about "exclude entries" in advanced layer properties to make data produced by Code Charge excluded from layers etc.
I use SVS for lots of thing. Although it has some problems, it also lets me keep my windows very clean.

Maybe you can see if they would be willing to allow you to trade in the two CCS Personal edition (Perpetual) licenses for one full fledge license with all the bells and whistles. The worst they could say is no or they may give you a break.

FYI
I have received the solution fom YesSoftware Support and the answer is :::
Uninstall / Install / Reactivate the software each time I want to change between PHP and ASP.NET
Oh well, we all live and learn.
I am currently looking at the option suggested by Ozum, as well as looking at hacking the Registry to try and save the activation details of each product and the load up the one I need at invokation time, etc.
As for the suggestion of yet another upgrade to the Full Version, well I have no desire at the moment to spend any more money, the two PE editions give me all that I need at the moment.
If I need to develop a site in any other language I will just go back to CodeCharge 2.0 which I still find is quicker and easier to build a Quick Site with. In a lot of ways I still believe that CodeCharge 2.0 is a better product that CCS.
If I find a solutions I will post it in this thread.
Thanks

By the way, SVS exactly do the same (totally make registry and other files invisible between deactivated layers and base OS). So when you install two products in two different layers (just like photoshop layers) it is like uninstalling other application and installing other one. Only, this just happens in seconds and you don't have to install it again. Even when I reinstall my Operating System I don't have to install applications again, just use these layers.
Beware: Don't use more than 4-5 layers at the same time activated. It slows the machine.

Upgrading would also give you the reporting!
