Thanks tonyk and JimmyCrackedCorn for your comments.
bogdantc, I think that JimmyCrackedCorn stated it best when he said.
Quote :your comments do not seem to me to be constructive criticism; they seem somewhat inflammatory but maybe that is not your intent. and I cannot resist asking you...if CCS is such a bad tool and you are so clear on that "fact" why are you still hanging around here yapping about it?
However, I must ask bogdantc, have you attempted to contact support directly and ask for assistance? Have you posted any of your ideas in the best wishes forum? And just because everyone is not familiar with this tool doesn't mean that it is not a good tool (every tool has it's pluses and minues). It might be the best kept secret around. This tool has been a huge asset to me in my career and I will try to support it for as long as I can.

I vote for the per access charge, option #3, many of the videos would be redundent for those who have worked a long time with CCS, and some of us would benefit more by watching more of the videos, and therefore should pay more.
I would be very interested in any 4.0 AJAX videos you might want to add to the mix. I work 90% with PHP but would like to see those videos for other scripts and frameworks like .net 2.0
Sound intriguing. Good luck

Hi MamboBROWN
Cutting tot he chase, when will it be up,I am also in with 75, but then want value for money.
I have specific issues at present. Apart from getting to know CCS, I need to look at things like giving access on user name and not necessarily on user groups. Like in a task manager, the user can se his tasks but not everyones. Mut the Manager can see all tasks within his division only, but not tasks in other divivions. Or make it more complex. A user can edit his personal information in an employee system, but may only view his leave data. Managers should enter and update leave data. Or building Dashboards, utilizing charts, etc.
Will these kind of things be covered in the training?
I am really urgent. So I would even appreciate an pm if thats possible.

Mambo
Go4it, Love to see them.
Idea:
Like in Fotoalbum where we have Foto and Thumbnail, you could do the main
video for a price, and a free sneak preview, so the buyer can decide if the
video is needed or not.
Self-levelling.

there are over 500 video tutorials in http://www.learnvisualstudio.net and to be honest i don't think comparisons can be made between between the 2 sites. while CCS videos can be made on each technology on the other site everything is about .NET .

If anything it doen't hurt to get ideas from other sites. I am willing to look at any suggested sites even if mine does not compare.

actually what i wanted to suggest is that you site could have even more videos if you do a separate video for each technology CCS can handle.
and from what i remember they started with 27 videos few years ago and now they are at over 500 having a steady users and number of videos grow as well.

MMMMMMAAAAANNNNNN This is a lot of work.....I really hope the community likes this!!!
I will be using my voice in most (if not all) of the videos.
I will be using the following naming convention for most of the videos:
CCS Version - Category: Area of Interest - Language - database
3.2.x-INTRO:Introduction to CCS - NONE - NONE
3.2.x-PROJ:Create a new Project-PHP4-MySQL3.23.x
Some Categories:
TnT - Tips-n-Tricks
INTRO - Introduction
ENVIR - Environment
PROJ - Project(s)
FORMS - Forms
BUILD - Builder(s)
COMP - Component(s)
PROP - Properties
Some Video names will begin with: ExamplePack, ForumSolutions or TestEnvironment
TestEnvironment-INTRO:Setup Windows Test Environment-PHP4-MySQL3.23.x
If the video is an Advanced video then (A) will be a part of the Category.
3.2.x-FORMS(A):Create a complex Form-PHP4-MySQL3.23.x
There will also be free information/links.
I might even start a blog.
So please stay tune.............

@MB: I knew it would be a lot of work........
Not only creation of the video.......
But meaningful content.......
As Well As, building the examples.......
in such a way that recording them makes sense
And then I am not even anticipating replying to the comments (pos/neg).
You might consider a Youtube style (one in Showcase forum) style interface in which you can present and blog.

The first release will include the following videos (My initial focus will be on intro and beginners stuff).
TestEnvironment-INTRO:Setup PHP Test Environment on Windows XP-XAMPP-PHP4/5-MySQL5
TestEnvironment-Working with MySQL Tool HeidiSQL
FreeSolutions-INTRO:Calendar and Action Tracking Solution-PHP4-MySQL3.23.x
CCS3.2.x-TnT:Create Grid with Multicolor Status-PHP4-MySQL3.23
CCS3.2.x-INTRO:Basic CCS Introduction
The first release will also include the following free solution
Free Calendar and Action Tracking Solution
The pricing will be as follows:
I am requesting a 3 month commitment from members. To be fair I will start off with a fee that will grow as the number of videos/free software. The initial fee will be $60 dollars for 90 days (1st month $15 +2nd Month $20+3rd Month $25). Members will have free access to all videos and they will be able to give comments about the videos as well. All members will be able to download the free code (as is with no guarantees) and do whatever they want with it. My only request is that if someone asks you for a copy of the code, please encourage them to purchase a membership. This membership will help to maintain the site (and keep me motivated). At this current time you will not be able to download the videos but that might change in the future. Also, members will be able to submit/vote on 1 video that will be included in the next months video release.

Hey everyone, I am still alive. I have a lot going on but maybe what I will do is see if I can attach some of one of the videos that I have already completed. Then you can let me know what you think.

Hello mamboBrown
how is the site coming?
if you are having a lot of trouble, like most of us I'd be happy to paypal for videos while you upload them on your site because this is kind of urgent to me as I am a beginner with a project that is already "tic-tac_ing" and in need for this great tool.
thnx!

lachof,
First, I want to thank the community for it's patience.
Second, My plan is not to disappoint the community.
Third, I will be releasing (mamboBROWN labs) this coming weekend. This site will have example of working code that will be available to CCS Video Tutorial members. It will also showcase different applications with different features.
Fourth, the CCS Video Tutorial Site is coming.............I know, I know.........but trust me it really is. The Labs site is the first step (in the right direction).

Thanks for the offer but my plan is not to sell the videos individually (at least not right now). All videos will be available through the CCS Video Tutorial website/server.
