Good day,
When I publish a project it publishes the ccs and ccp files even though under publish settings I have it set to "all files excluding extensions" and the ccs/ccp extensions listed.
Do certain projects require that these fiels be published.
Thanks for the help,
Rob

it should not publish ccs/ccp files.
Are they actually in the htdocs directory of your project?
Doubt it, never seen this behaviour before.
Delete them in the target directory (making sure you are not deleting the actual ones) and publish again.
They should not be there, I am 99,99percent sure.

Hi Walter,
I am publishing to a local server via a mapped drive (ASP project). The only directory being created is the one that is created by the name of the project. In this case the root directory is Employees and this is where the ccs/ccp files are appearing. I did notice that with CCS 3 open on 1 monitor and windows explorer on the 2nd monitor that as soon as I created a new page a ccs file with the project name is created along with a ccp file with the name of the page I am creating - even if the page is blank. At this point no files have been saved or project published. Checked Project settings and it is check marked to exclude those files.
Thanks for your help,
Rob

I do not want to sound overanxious and I don't do ASP but:
1: when you finaly publish to your target server, the ccs and ccp will/should not be there.
main reason being not giving away a project unintended.
2: your current setup sounds potentialy dangerous to me if you on an early monday morning decide you would like to have your web directory nice and cleanly regenerated ( and I do this regularly) you may lose your project.
As a warning, you cannot recreate .ccp from source (nor can your customer and that is a good thing)

Hi Walter,
Got it! Twigged on me when you said target directory as was leaving everything default which meant when it was published it went to the same directory all the pages where created in. Changed the path for Publishing under Project settings and that did the trick. When published to the new directory those files were not there. Didn't clue in that you could publish elsewhere.
Thanks for your help and patience.
