Hello everyone.
I have a quite simple question, that i havenīt found answer to. The thing is :
I would like to make a little " program" if can call it so, where my customers can add/edit/ search data in an access DB. NOT in the internet but a CD.
Does anybody know how can i make a CD that anyone can use?
Something easy like a game that install it self, or just copying files somewhere. The software is for children. like a game.
Suggestions?
Thank you

well, you have several options for something like you describe.
you can probably create a stand-alone program that uses an Access database using Visual Studio. I've done that many times with older versions of VS; I'm assuming you can still do that.
if you are a Flash person you can get a product called SWF Studio from www.northcode.com. SWF Studio lets you convert Flash to a full-featured Windows stand-alone application with complete database access, file I/O and a bunch more.
there are certainly more ways to do this.
but, I don't think CCS is the answer for you since it produces web apps.

well, maybe someone here will know more about it than I do but I think unfortunately CodeCharge is not the right tool for what you wish to do. if you read the first paragraph on the CodeCharge home page it says,
"CodeCharge Studio is the most productive solution for visually creating database-driven Web applications with minimal amount of coding. The support for virtually all databases, web servers and web technologies makes CodeCharge Studio one of a kind. It is a complete solution available for Web development."
I don't think I've seen anything that would indicate CodeCharge supports stand-alone, non-web, application development. Good luck to you...maybe someone else can offer a better suggestion?

Your dynamic web site on CD? yes, it's possible!
The OutSite-In software is ideal for everyone who wants to have their web site offline, but still dynamic, to take anywhere or give to others.

sounds very interesting except you said you needed to use "access DB" and this product appears to only support PHP/MySQL! If you need to use Microsoft Access as your database this product won't work for you. try searching Google on something like "copy web site". good luck.
