I forgot to specified that the database i want 2 use is in teh folder "exemples" with the name internet_MYsql .. you know ..
I have already uninstalled the IIS that comes with windows xp pro so, now i just have apache installed and the ODBC installed to.... but now what? i donīt know what to do....
The video explains better. PLease check it: Maybe it is easier if you download the video (swf) because i go a little bit fast.

Hi Leo,
I tried to watch your video but I got bored half way... only kidding. There
is no video - only voice - at leat on my computer.
Did you try Walter's settings in your origininal post?
Download a tool called Navicat - you can try it for 1 month. This may help
you play around with your databases and settings.
If your DB is on your localcomputer set the host as localhost
If you didnt set a password try using root and no password
You might need to read the instructions/readme for the tools you are using.
regards
Damian

democharge might have been a better tool to try to show the problem - it
would make much smaller files than 21MB!

You make it hard for yourself - and for people trying to help you.
You havent posted a link to the new format and you do not reply to
suggestions on things to try. Walter has made suggestions and so did I and
you havent said whether they worked or whether you even tried them.

Leo - you have NO database.
Download Navicat or get a MySQL tutorial and create a database.
You have the correct settings for server, username and password. But you
still have to connect to SOMETHING.
CCS does not create databases. It creates applications that talk to
databases.

Hello Damian
I really appreciate your help!
You know, when you install CCS there are 2 DBs in a folder called "Examples" in my case is in C:\Archivos de programa\CodeChargeStudio3\Examples\Internet .
The DB i have there has a name: internet.sql here you can see it
http://www.verylogic.com/Internet_MySQL.sql
That is a DB right? i mean i know what a MS access DB is, but i am not sure about MYsql.
If that is the mysql DB i need, what should i do now?
Thanks

You really should read the tutorials and the doco...
The Examples and Example Packs do contain a DB. If you want to you this DB
follow the instructions in the Example Pack. If you want to create a new
project using your own database - you need to craete the database first,
then create your connectiona nd then create your project.

The major point here being:
Examples supply you with the SQL scripts to create the example database
tables.
You need to have the database first, then you feed it the example SQL
(right flavor) through the use of a SQL CLI (Like Navicat)
Then the tables will be created in your Database.
Then you can wonder on the ODBC, and after that you finaly experience
the CCS capabilities.
So yes, Damian is right, read read read.
Also Google for XAMPP WAMP, to get an idea of fast installing complete
local Apache PhP Perl MySQL environments.

hello again
I have read a big part of the tutorial.
I agree that i need a DB.. Just answer this ... does CCS comes with a mysql DB called Internet_MySQL.sql ?
I have used the access database also called "Internet.mbd". I have used that with ASP and i have installed IIS... IT WORKS JUST FINE.
I have also done this http://www.dvrhb.com in PHP with a MySQL database in the hosting.
Now i want to know: Does CCS comes with a mysql DB called Internet_MySQL.sql ?
If yes, i want to use it
If not, is that what you call a script ?
Thanks

Leo,
You will need to read the examples and instructions or this is going to tale
a very long time.
It does contain a FILE called Internet_MySQL.sql but this is not a database.
Most databases are not accessed by accessing the file(s) directly (Access is
one exception to this). You access the database server.
You need to run the script file that you mention (as Walter suggested to you
in another post).
The easiest way to do this is to use a tool like Navicat - but you are still
going to need to read a little on how tod o this exactly - it is very
straight forward though.

NO it does not does CCS comes with a mysql DB called Internet_MySQL.sql
However it comes with a file called Internet_MySQL.sql
You feed that file to a MySQL Database and from the file it will all the
tables and fill them for you.
The MsAccess Database is supplied for severqal purposes.
It is supplied to have a common database for all CCS platforms to do the
examples.
Besides that, for some people, it is the database of choice.

Thank you all of you..... and first of all for your patience..
I must tell you that i think something was wrong NOT only in my head but in my computer ;)
I have reinstalled windows and downloaded the ODBC again. the same version but 4kb bigger.... strange... maybe the first problem was because of that.
I have used the file Internet_MySQL.sql in order to create a DB using XAMPP...
That was the same way i created the DB in my hosting, but in my computer as you know.
Well i have created a DB called " leomcco_dvr ", the user name is "root" and the pasword lets call it " aabbcc ".... i use the ODBC 3,51 .
and i can see the DBs
But now i recieve a message ERROR...
i will show you in the next video
http://www.verylogic.com/error.html

XAMPP has pv.exe to control it.
You may have to start it to have it do what it does.
Look in the xampp directory for an orange icon like clover.
through pc you can also start all as service so that it will reboot with XP
No update is stopping it.

Hi Leo,
I answered also in spanish forum .
You have to compile in design user_name and password
otherwise CCS won't connect.
Type in the same data you typed in odbc conexion.

Leo,
If you are willing to give me some remote control on your computer I will
do it with you. Setting up remote control will take longer than showing you.
Mail me.
