Folks,
Every once in a while, one of the programmers here needs to
copy a CCS page (along with the php and html files) and share them
with everyone else working on the project. We usually just go to the project,
copy the necessary files to a shared directory (on a NAS drive), and
the other person will simply copy and paste these files into their own
CCS project directory. Now all they have to do is refresh the page list,
and the new CCS page pops up for editing.
Unfortunately, this is not as simple as it seems. Most of the
time, CCS imports the page incorrectly, leaving out sections
of code. We are wondering why this problem occurs, and
we're also wondering if the problem could be caused by
by either party having CCS open and running? If so, is
there any way we can keep the projects open and still
have this work?
Regards,
Randall

This sounds like it may be a question you should put to support ( http://support.yessoftware.com ).

Sure you all have exactly the same version of CC Studio?

Ok. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Real busy with multiple projects..
Anyway, I'll ask support and see what they say.
Thanks,
Randall

Yes. We're all running CCS 3.1.1.0. Maybe we should
start thinking about running some type of CVS software,
I guess, which leads me to the question: what's the best
CVS package available these days, and does CCS support
it?
Regards,
Randall

There are two version control products:
CVS - http://ximbiot.com/cvs/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
Subversion - http://subversion.tigris.org/
Both run on Linux/UNIX/MacOSX or Windows.
Two Windows CVS clients:
WinCVS - http://www.wincvs.org/
TortoiseCVS - http://www.tortoisecvs.org/
