I cannot use the mySQL ODBC on my Vista computer - has anyone else had this
issue? I have seen the issue posted in numerous places across the web but as
yet have not found a fix. This is what happens:
I can create a new ODBC connection - either the latest version of 3.51 or 5.
The connection tests 100%.
I cannot however EDIT, DELETE or USE the connection.
I get the following:
"ODBC Administrator has stopped working"
"A problme caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Anyone resolved this problem on their system?
Damian

Thanks Gerrit but not the same issue.
I can add ODBC connections but cannot EDIT, DELETE or USE them.
My issue is listed as a bug http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=27315
back in March and no resolution as yet despite many others sharing the
issue...

hello.
i had the same probs with CCS 3.0... and Win XP, when i install the Server new.
ODBC connect to the mysql db with odbc@localhost and not with the right Loginname@localhost + pass. Wenn i take a look into the mysql member Table, there are no odbc@localhost member. I add a new odbc@localhost member to the mysql db and all works fine for me. You can edit, add delete your ODBC Connections better in the Windows Systemmenu...

Thanks Martin,
I also had this problem for a little bit but was solved by getting the
server passwords right. My problem is with accessing the ODBC connection and
is specific to the Vista platform.
regards
Damian
