My friend is not using CCS but has seen me using the visual editor in CCS and would like to know if the editor is totally a CCS proprietary editor or if there is something else outside of CCS that does something similar. I told him, I'd ask, as I don't have a clue.
He said he'd used Coffee something editor, and that didn't work very well. He is definitely looking for something that has a visual editor portion to it.
Thanks,
Alan

There are many types of visual editors out there ( I am assuming that you are talking about the CCS IDE). Exactly what is the needs of your friend (language, development environment, wanted features etc...)? And yes this software is copyrighted by Yes Software ( http://docs.codecharge.com/studio31/html/UserGuide/License.html ).

He's wanting to edit both visually and in code html pages.
He had used something called Coffee somehting but it didn't work the way he needed.
For example, he had a TellAFriend.html script, and in Coffee? it didn't show it like it did in the CCS IDE. CCS showed the tables, etc, so it was easier to add a column, and move the heading for example.
That's really what he's looking for.
I just didn't know if CCS IDE editor was based on a 3rd party product or somethat that they created, and also whether other people knew of a similar editor.
I am not an html expert, so I just don't know.

Yes Microsoft expression is a very nice lighter weight webs developer. I use it a bit now over AceHTML Pro.
Used Dreamweaver and nowadays it tends to be more bloat than speed.
Take care
