I have a record form with a link to another form that produces a grid of details
e.g
An employee record with a link (actions ascociated with this employee) that shows a grid with a list of all the actions and details ascociated with this employee in another form.

I want to be able to have both these forms open on the same form.

You can probably look at the example pack for ideas. Sounds like you are trying to create a Master-Detail Form.
