I'm trying to use the Search Builder with a stored procedure as a data source. The builder allows me to create the grid but when I get to the part of the build where you can setup the search criteria everything on the page is disabled.

Is the a user error or is the builder working as designed?

By design.
The Builder will not assist you as it cannot grasp any data details.
You are however able to build any search you might like.
Just not using the builder.

(correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm not sure I understand, CC does figure out what data fields are being passed back from the sproc, it just doesn't build the search form. Couldn't CC 'read' the input parameters for the sproc and build a form with these fields?
