I upgraded my CCS3 from 3.1.1.0 to 3.2.0.1 f yesterday and I suffered a problem when I tried to open my project
And the message was "Unable to load project file, Reason: XML document must have a top level element."
Here is the error wndow

I don't understand why this happened.......I tried to install 3.1.1.0 in a clean computer but got the same message.
Tanks for helping!

I have the same problem...
I have lost several CCP-files, that appear to have been corrupted and are now 0 bytes. Codecharge even seems to fail at generating new CCP files. When trying to open the new files, I get:
Error:Unable to load page file "E:\Kickstart\Project\Westland\beheer\menubeheer.ccp"!
Reason: XML document must have a top level element.
As far as I can see, there is no way of getting the files back if they have really turned into 0-byte files. All there is to do is browse through the generated HTML and PHP files and manually recreate the CCP from there on.
In your case, your CCP might still be OK. Perhaps creating a new project and adding the CCP files is an option.

I solved my problem and my solution is to get an old CCP file and overwrite the 0 byte one....and now it works!

its freightening!!
Golden rule dont trust the electronic storage, keep an extra copy of the copy(backup).
Loss of data/code can happen anytime, so always make extra copies every time you have done any susbtanial changes, make on some removeable storage as HDD crash leaves you totally helpless.
Hope YES team is working on something to prevent further damage.

Further damage?
Losing the files in your project directory is something that I can
understand.
But losing files in 'other'directories, I have not seen that before.
If you take into account the size of files that are in a project directory,
a USB memory stick
can be your first choice for backup.
Personaly I ZIP the project directory using project_versionnumber as a name
and copy those to the stick and a network drive.

you are correct Walter, backup version wise is a wise thing.
thats what has saved my skin till now as on few pages the custom code from the events page went missing while generating the pages with ccs 3.2, i was fortunate enough to have backed up the projects to be able to retrive the customisation.
Further Damage - i meant before more and more developer loose there code or they have to keep on fighting out with the generated pages to work correctly where the logic and coding of theirs is correct and we have some flaws in the auto generated code of ccs.
