It sounds like you didn't set up your connectiong properly. If you open your connection to modify.. click on the server tab.. what does it say? Does it list your username, password how it should be listed on your server? From that error message, it sounds like you left those fields blank when you set up your connection.

Search this forum it has been discussed.
Install a local system like xampp
develop on local mysql db.
Then using server profile define the remote as a localhost mysql connect, no odbc, and ftp publish
search for xampp

Watching your video:
- DataSource name anything is ok, but it would be better to call it the same
as the db, testdb
-Yes you need to supply username password in ODBC, so that is ok
Then you switch to Server Tab:
?Why leo_db ??? it is testdb!!!
localhost is ok
username password is wrong
Stop right there.
You think you are defining your servers database setup here.
You are not, you are defining the Design time server database, that is the
XAMPP database not the one at your remote provider.
Defining the Internet parameters, you have to create a second server
profile, read the docs
Walter
Server tab, you are using a different database leo_

Open the Help file and read the sections:
Getting Started:
- What you need to get started,
telling you about the TestWebServer ->> XAMPP
Production server ->> remote ISP Hosted Server
- Setting up the work environment.
Read the PHP Setup, it clearly explains what's going on here.
Working with projects:
Project Settings -> Configuring Publishing Settings
read the part about server profiles and what they are and do.
