Hi Chargers
I got a new laptop not long ago that had Vista Business loaded and just now got around to loading the latest CCS 3.2 (Trial)and XAMP with Apache 2.2.4/PHP 5.x.x/MySql 5.x.x.
All looks fine until I try to build a connection in CCS to the db using the 3.51 ODBC driver and CCS crashes immediately.
I know there have been some issues with Vista and MySql ODBC 2.51 for some people but most have no problem.
If I connect to an Access db or MS SQL Express all works fine.

Before I bother Support for a problem that is probably not related to CCS I was wondering if this has come up for others or am I the luck exception. In the mean time, I will use my reliable but much abused and falling apart laptop that has the registered version of CCS and boring old XP SP2 that works great with CCS and anything else I load into it. If Vista did not look so pretty on this new high res 17" laptop I would dump Vista and go with XP SP2. It looks nerdy to be carrying around dueling laptops.
One note: although it probably makes little difference, the version of Vista that came preloaded is the Russian lanuage version.
Thanks for any comments or suggestions

Issue is with Vista and ODBC driver - I have this issue and havent resolved
it for 3months.
I out more RAM in my laptop and installed an XP Virtual PC... stupid
excessive work around but it means I can leave my other laptop at home...

Thanks Walter
I installed the new 3.51.19 driver and the crash stopped but no connection could be made. Then I noticed a new patch for CCS became available and installed that. IT WORKED!

After testing for a while and if all looks stable I am going to migrate my projects and other development tools to switch over to this new computer.
SuperPDF still does not work but I have not tried to figure out the problem.

Other than this problem I have not had any difficulties with Vista and the only annoyance is that it is very naggy about every possible user induced fault, or what MS thinks is a fault such as loading in programs not sold by MS.
