Hello,
I am using CCS 3.2.0.2 When I am trying to update any HTML code through Format window CCS attaching own styles to particular TAG below is sample style code auto attached by ccs.

Its auto attached when I changed Grid table width to 80%
Quote :
style="BORDER-RIGHT: black 1px; BORDER-TOP: 2px; <br> FONT-SIZE: xx-small; BORDER-LEFT: 2px; WIDTH: 100%; BORDER-BOTTOM: black 1px; FONT-FAMILY: Arial; HEIGHT: 100%"

I was just about to post that exact same code. It's been driving me crazy. I used the Tile Style, but found that when I centered anything it automatically gave it P tags, making the headers and footers of the record and grid forms fat and ugly.
I switched everything over to Compact, the old reliable style, but that code you pasted above is in all the components and I can't seem to get rid of it.

I am using ver 3.2.2 as well.

Yes. I did shortly after posting this and I was told they are aware of the problem and are working to rectify it.

I also noticed that after building a grid or record., when you go to edit -say- some text, the first key stroke deletes.

This is a problem for a lot of us. I notified support a few weeks ago, but they haven't resolved it for me.

So for now I'm sticking with 3.1

I hope they sort it soon.

I really love codecharge and is a very good moneymaker for us. (and i mean a lot)
we have application that go around 20k US$ installed like in 10+ Country Around the word
working in 3 Different language.

but what i really hate is Support Team (well some are really great like helen, etc)

but when you ask in support could we use 3.2.0.2 or do we have to espect some isue.

support reply 3.2.0.2 not problem.

but hidden in the background we all are receiving small patched for small things, could they setup some place link for all the patch, sometime i feel we are used like a "Conejillo de Indias" to test bugs.

<translation>
I mean "God" if there are known isue (support shoudl know aboutit and dont said go ahead used then when you got problem we will solved with small patch we already have here Hidden till you got a problem?. </translation>

A place/link here for those patch will be great.

Note: every time i'm tented to use 3.2.0.2, thread like this appear.

no only that if you open a ticket with an isue, support dont even try to check the problem until you said you have the latest version (afaik not workin ok) if not they will reply (install lates version first)

/RANT off
(this is one of those day)

We waited to upgrade from 3.1 to 3.2 until the 3.2.0.2 patch was made
available. The upgrade has not been a major issue.

Yes we see this issue presented in this thread, but we have not seen
where it really effects anything. In the design editor, when viewing
the Format tab properties, I'll see some crazy entry in the Style
properties. However, this entry does NOT translate to the HTML - at
least I haven't seen it there.

Oper,
I agree with your 2 statements:
- CCS is a good money maker;
- CCS support system is not very efficient
Ex. I have duplicate bug reports because there is no way to check if bug was already reported.
It sucks when support system can not show registered users all their reported bugs and their status.

To mamboBROWN:
We need forum to share our problems and solutions.
I think approach "send all your problems to support" is irrational because different ppl have to describe the same bugs and report to support. And support handles the same bug reports from different users.
Users waste their time writing reports instead of getting solutions from forum, Yes support gets repetetive reports on the same bug.

SO now RapidShare.com belong to YesSoftware?

Girish i really appreciate your approach and i think other will, but i will like to download patch from Yes site, i mean a trusted site. don't get me wrong I'm just pointing how things should be.

Also to test new versions will be great and easy for us if patch discovered and already fixed were put in a yes Section., a place were we all could discuss about that patch. etc.

there are few bug a simple 1 that come from the first version 3.0 that is still sitting there

Check this example:
right click a Link Field the <A> attribute wont appear, you have to right click again to view the <A> property.
and one Support told be that the <A> property have to be modify directly to the HTML,
that this doesnt exist on CCS. (Priceless)

Maybe if we have a place where to report BUG (PUBLIC) and (or private for registered user if yes fear for non registered user) we all could follow bugs and patches this way I'm sure Support will reduce there time dealing with us 1 by 1(if i see a report on BUGS section and i have to report same bug i wont open a new ticket to support i will just watch that ticket or report a follow the process.)

Just Think About it

I like this idea very much. We have avoided upgrading to 3.2 because of the discussions here. BUT, if I could review the official issue list and confirm they won't affect me I'd be glad to go ahead and upgrade. Then, my upgrading would help because I might find some new issue and report it.

It would be OK to be a private area for customers only to read and post. That way it is only the core community of committed users of the product who all have a vested interest in seeing things improved and fixed.

Looks like rants sometimes work because a new CCS update was released today :-)
http://support.yessoftware.com/updates.asp

Maintainng a public list of bugs looks like a good idea. I would only advise caution in terms of holding off on reporting problems to support by multiple people. Sometimes the support & developers can find more details and reproduce a problem only after gathering details from multiple problem submissions. Also sometimes users believe that their problem is identical to someone else's when it is not, then only one part of a problem may get resolved.

Rather than a public list, i would suggest that the support cases submitted could be available for review to other users also, in case anybody has already encounter that issue, could suggest the solution to the support team, which could be tested and if correct could be visible to everyone.

This would be just like a forum but a closed user one with interaction between users mediated by the support team.

i feel that sometimes some of the issues are which are not too bothersome are not reported to support for rectification even. The availabilty of issues in support forum could be helpful as people might second to the existance of the issue

I can tell you this!
Do not use Codecharge Studio with Windows Vista because it's a hell of a problem. It's giving me a hard time when i try to insert a imagelink, label, etc!
I have tryied to do so many things to just get around the HTML problems but no solution.
I hope the support can fix the issues that i have today...

Well I've made the jump with the latest 3.2 version.

It's better, but there are still issues with CSS. With some elements you can't do simple things like over ride the alignment in a cell. Little things, I know, but I want control over the way my site looks.

I'll keep you posted...

:-( :-( Nope its not right!

Messes up your CSS, when it works it looks different in FF to IE, and now FF says there's a problem with php_mysql.dll not loading, but its fine in IE.

So off it comes back to 3.1.

Thank goodness I made a back up.

Yeah I know the "Unable to load dynamic library 'C:\Program Files\PHP\ext\php_mysql.dll" is a config problem.

and there's more...

Well sticking with 3.2 but here's what happening..

CSS still doesn't seem right , tables won't do as they are told.

Also had an issue when openning a 3.1 project that the project file decided the use an xHTML template. I had nothing to do with, I just imported the project and CCS decided for me. Got to the bottom pretty quick though thanks to Helen at support.

here's another one...

Fields that won't allow their width to be changed.

I have a login form with the field set to 20, I wont them 15.

I change them and save the page.

CCS32 puts them back to 20?
