I as tasked with sending all the users their logins and password. I used a Mal Merge through MS Word/Outlook.
Apparently only half of hte teachers actually received the email and I spent all day responding to individual requests... grrrr.
Is there a way to mass email all the users in a User Table.. sending their login and password , along with a message that I type in a text field?
I have recently begun mastering the use of the Send Email event so I ma hoping I can branch off that.
Thanks!

Carsten,
Instead of using the SendMail event I recommend you use one of the many
available classes for sending email.
They will make your job much easier, and are very configurable.
It is not difficult to send the emails.
One way I perform batch processing is to create a grid, so that I have the
Codecharge infrastructure do all the record traversal.
You can set the number of records to show per page to some huge number which
would never be reached.
I usually remove the field labels from the template, so the only thing
remaining is the grids template directives. That way no data is displayed.
Now, in the beforeshowrow event you can latch in whatever functinoality you
want to perform for that record.

Benjamin,
Thanks! That sounds great, but I am not sure what you mean by using a Class that is suited for sending email...?
I Will set up the grid as per your directions and then experiment with beforeshow events to see what I can come up with. Is ther any documentation that deals with this directly?

Have you searched the forums? I think that there are a couple of solutions already in the forums.

Sorry for the delay in replying - been very busy on a fe projects.
There are various php classes out there which encapsulate all of the
requirements for sending emails.
They give you the ability to use diferent transports, adding attachments,
etc
