Helpfile: server profiles
create a second profile for that remote server.
Design tab of connection is same as server profile1.
server tab reflects your remote database sever name user and pass. Most likely server = localhost.
Set publish to ftp, set publish all files. Then publish.
Walter
Ps
don't think it is hard to do it is not.
Focus on the fact that after publish your application runs on the remote server and looks at it from that.

Are you saying that during development you want to use the remotehosting DB?
If that has no odbc connection you will need local db.
Search forum for WAMPP or XAMPP
Basicaly you would want to have a local Apache PhP MySQL setup to do
development on.
Remote Host will be production server only.
