I want to show / hide a grid depending on the edit mode. I have used the following and in insert mode the grid hides but in edit mode it still is not visible. I have added this code to the before show event for the page. Case is correct. What have I missed?

global $articles;
global $NewGrid1;
if (! $articles->EditMode)
{
$NewGrid1->Visible = false;
}

Your form isn't pulling a record. Based on your form's WHERE criteria
it can't find a record, thus you're always in Insert mode.

I thought of this an I apologise for not mentioning it. It was pulling a record based of ArticleID. If I set the visible to true it shows the record correctly. Set it to false the grid does not show. The forms have all been built using the builders.
