it would be a nice if the connections could be expandable tree with tables being listed from the connection along with the fields in them
this would enable us to drag and drop a field on to the page without getting into lenghty proc of first adding the field type component and then setting the properties.
This feature is available in most of the development softwares.

I agree. It would be so nice to have something in the IDE that will
show tables and fields in a quick and efficient manner.
I am constantly having to leave CodeCharge to go to another application
just to get a field or table name, or to view the database structure.
Seems kinda squirrelly.

A new panel that tracks along with the datasource you have selected, to show
the tables/fields in it, would be handy.

+1 on this.
It would be helpful to drag and drop fields like this. It is inconvenient to add an empty field and then rename it and attach it to the database field.

Very true
that will be great for design speed since normaly must of the new field are added later
no only that you could do the design and the insert field later, and not a plain record form all field under other and then move where ever you wnat to make a little more beauty to the eye.
