I've read a lot about CC and dates, and I know the best way to be sure of the desired format is to do it yourself. However, can anyone help me with this?
(I am generating ASP 2.0 and Template pages to IIS 5 on Windows 2000 with a GB locale.)
I have a page on a site with a Start Date and an End Date for artists exhibitions. The Grid Page displays the Start Date in UK format DD/MM/CCYY and the End Date in US format MM/DD/CCYY (leading zeros supressed - e.g. 4/26/2002).
Selecting a record and going into the Record Page results in both of these form fields being populated US style. I just don't understand the inconsistencies. There is an Access 2000 database at the back end.
On my own development web server, which also has a locale of GB, the dates all appear as I would want them to in DD/MM/CCYY. I'm quite happy to use a customised function to sort this out, but if I can't assume either US or UK, what should the function do?!!!
I am new to CC, but this looks like a very helpful community! Hope you can help me!
