Hi i am a newbie to all of this.
Many hours i have been tolling for a solution to this problem.
i am working in PHP
i have a main table which is in the editable grid (great works a treat - the submit button),
however,
when i put another table into the Data source, and then make a label to access the data from the other table.
RESULT:
the submit button goes off the page.
WELL WHAT DID I DO?
looked up hours on the forum and at the CCS guides/info.
Looking at some older articles In the forum it was suggested that the label should be activated in the events: as a show before----then add code.
RIPPING MY HAIR OUT TIME NOW.
Looked at code ( eyes boggle - whatttttttt)
Can someone help to decipher it for me pleaseeeeee. Put me some sample code down.
My connection is 'pdr1db'
the table is 'tb_nladmin'
the field is 'progression'
i am enjoying discovering all that CCS can do, my limited experience is from MS Access.

Try making the relationship between the two tables a Left Join.

When using multi-table SQL you need to use the CustomInsert, CustomUpdate and CustomDelete, all available in the Properties of the grid.
Although this seems a bit scary at first it is in fact quite easy to do.
This is not a flaw of CCS, it is the inability to predict what main table you want to be updated.
There is a warning message, you might have missed it.
Have fun.
Check manuals for Custom Update.
