Hello,

I have a problem with Codecharge Studio v3.XX crashing using XP Pro on startup with the message "A critical error has occurred, application will close now. I opened a support ticket and it has been around 3 months now with no solution. I have uninstalled and installed it many times with no success. I even cleaned out the registry. Prior to the 3 months, it was working great for Oracle and MySQL. Basically now I can't use it at all anymore on this machine.

Has anyone experienced this issue at all?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

I am supprised that Yes Software has not responded back to you for that time period. Have you checked your ticket to see if they have made any suggestions??

Actually, yes, I have 3 pages of messages going back and forth. They requested that I run some scripts they gave me to debug. I did that and they are still trying to analyze what I sent back and find a solution. It has literally been months.

Sam,
Not possible to try this on a second machine?
Or even on a second installation of XP on the same machine?
Using tools like drivesnapshot, make a full backup and restore tht on a (VmWare) virtual machine?
So many options.

Walter,

I had to install it on another machine but it is a pain working on two. As far as your other comment, it is a company machine, so that is out of the question. I know there is something that is conflicting with CCS just like the IE7 issue which CCS resolved. However,I have yet to find it.

Ok, explained.
On the second machine, things are fine?
Would point to a machine specific problem.

Wish you best of luck and patience.
The backup->virtual machine was of course intended only to debug the
problem.
