I've recently migrated my former workstation into a Virtual Machine, in order to run CodeCharge while using Linux.
However, it seems in the change, CodeCharge Studio has decided that it doesn't want to show many different buttons and words in the GUI. Also, it will not perform certain functions.
I seem to recall reading about this problem somewhere before, but I cannot find the old posts.
Could someone please enlighten me as to how to fix this very annoying issue? Thank you.

Just to let you know, I use CCS on a Mac with Parallels VM (with XP inside the VM) and it works without problems.
Good luck,

Walter -
I actually do quite a bit with Virtual Machines as well. We run our main fileserver and webserver hosts inside VMWare Server hosted on CentOS 5.0.
The virtual machine I am running on my dev machine was just in VMWare Workstation, running in Gnome on Ubuntu 7.10.
As for the problem, I've solved it. Apparently it had something to do with an activation "protection" scheme. I reactivated CodeCharge Studio and all the strange missing buttons and fonts were now restored.
So that's the fix. If for some reason you are missing buttons or words, etc., in your CCS GUI - Select Tools > Reactivate Product.

@CD
Thanks.
Have had the VMWare earlier. (Workstation/Player)
Now running VirtualBox, no problems whatsoever.
As my main purpose is to take my development environment from one office to the other not having to carry a desktopreplacementlaptop (7kg+) carrying just the snapshots on a portable disk seemed a good solution. Although working nicely I am now studying on the MojoPac solution as I carry along an Ip*d anyway.

Thanks!!!
You saved my life ... i've tried all (reinstalling directx tons of updates, rebooting without half of driver or even change the virtualization software) and didn't work!
It's corious that everything works fine with VMWare Fusion but the problem raised as soon as i converted my VM to parallels. I've tried to go back to Fusion converting again the VM (i've deleted the original VM ) but it doesn't work. Probably it's a issue related with CodeCharge protections bacouse the change of VM Player changed all the hardware under the OS, but uninstallng codecharge and reinstalling it doesn't solved the issue becouse it doesn't try to reactivate himself.
Thanks again
