I would like to hide a record form on a page if the categoryid in a url equals a particular value.
How do I pull the value so I can finish with $Computer->Visible = true/false;

CCGetFromGet().
If your categoryid in the URL is www.url.tld/page?categoryid=1
then
CCGetFromGet('categoryid',0)
will return the value of the variable on he URL, 0 as default when not on URL.
So something like
if (CCGetFromGet('categoryid',0)==1)
