Hi folks,

I have a report like this :

Group 1 - aaaa
Group 2 - bbbb
Group 2 Item 1 - cccc
Group 2 Item 1 data collection row 1
Group 2 Item 1 data collection row 2
Group 2 Item 1 data collection row 3
Sub Totals - Group 2 Item 1 collection
Some more details of group 2 item 1
Group 2 Item 2 - dddd
Group 2 Item 2 data collection row 1
Group 2 Item 2 data collection row 2
Sub Totals - Group 2 Item 2 collection
Some more details of group 2 item 2
Group 2 - eeee
Group 2 Item 3 - ffff
Group 2 Item 3 data collection row 1
Group 2 Item 3 data collection row 2
Group 2 Item 3 data collection row 3
Group 2 Item 3 data collection row 4
Group 2 Item 3 data collection row 5
Sub Totals - Group 2 Item 3 collection
Some more details of group 2 item 3
Group 2 Item 4 - gggg
Group 2 Item 4 data collection row 1
Group 2 Item 4 data collection row 2
Group 2 Item 4 data collection row 3
Sub Totals - Group 2 Item 4 collection
Some more details of group 2 item 4

I want to make sure that if there is not sufficient space down the bottom to display a new item from group 2, it should start on a new page. I am not sure how this can be done in report builder.

I am not sure if i have been able to explain this properly, but my problem is identical to the one found here. I have looked at the proposed solutions on that page, but haven't been able to find the answer.

Please help.

Thanks,
Hiral

Hiral

Actually in post http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=83767 I did not get an answer.

I found a (not very satisfactory) trick by considering that the group that should fit on one single page had to be considered not as a group but as a page: therefore the group heading should not be a group heading, but a page heading.

Apparently there is no way in Codecharge to do what you (and I) want to do. Too bad
